Is it forbidden to watch TV? – Іslam in Ukraїnі

Wa Alaikum Assalam

!

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. All praise and thanks be to Allah, peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.

We thank you for your confidence. We appeal to Allah Almighty illuminate our hearts, that all we have apprehended the truth, and give us a blessing in this world and on the Day of the Last Judgment, Amen.

TV viewing depends on the person’s intentions and the fact that he looks. If a person is looking for something nice and good purposes, it is acceptable.

answers to your question, Dr. Sano Mustafa Qutub:

Thank you for your question.

Watching TV – not haram, as well as contemplation of images of living beings. Television – a tool that can be used with good or with bad intentions, so most desirable watch on television news programs and useful.

So it all depends on the intention of the person who is watching TV. If his intention is to study and learn about what is happening in the world, it is encouraged.

There is no credible evidence of a ban on watching television or movies, as some think. Islam allows Muslims all useful tools. Islam welcomes all new technologies, such as television, airplanes, cars, trains, the Internet, and urges Muslims to use them to spread the true knowledge and values.

Therefore we can not unreasonably reject any technology. Scholars are unanimously agreed that the benefits are means for good and nasty – the means to sin. With this ban or permit these funds will depend only on the purpose of their use.

Allah Almighty knows best.
