Poll: 94% of Russians are watching TV, 45% of them – up to 3 hours a day – New Kaliningrad.Ru

94% of Russians regularly watch TV. 87% of Russians called TV as the main source of information. 17% of those who, in principle, watching TV, on the average spend in front of “blue screen” from 3 to 6 hours a day. These are the findings of the May polls conducted by the “Public Opinion”, the correspondent of “New Kaliningrada.Ru.”

74% of respondents admitted that they watch TV every day, 11% of Russians include it about 3-5 times a week. Only 6% of respondents do not watch TV at all. At the same time, in September 2008 the figure was only 2%.

22% of Russians said that over the past few years have been less than watch TV, such youth – 27%. More steel watch TV 13% of our citizens. 55% have not changed their habits.

45% of those who basically watching television on weekdays performed before the “blue screen” to 3 hours. 17% devote to this task up to 6 hours a day. 2% of the population can spend watching TV 15 hours a day.

Compared with 2013 year news and sociopolitical transmission became more popular. Three of the most favorite channels Russians predictably constitute First, Russia 1 and NTV, whose popularity, however, for the year decreased by 11%.

87% of the population get their information mainly from TV news . 29% – use news sites on the Internet (this question respondents could give more than one answer). 18% of respondents listen to the radio and read newspapers.

note that the survey was conducted May 25, 2014 in 43 regions of Russia, in 100 settlements, among 1,500 respondents. Statistical error margin not exceed 3.6%.

Recall, according to a survey conducted in mid-May «Levada Center» , 94% of Russians said they know about the events in Ukraine, mainly from TV news.
