TV Sharp Aquos 4K Next supports converting images to the format 8K – 3DNews

The company Sharp has introduced an innovative ultra-high resolution LCD Aquos 4K Next (model LC-80XU30), sales of which will begin in limited quantities in the summer.

The panel with a diagonal of 80 inches is a nominal resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels, which corresponds to the format of 4K (Ultra HD). The developers of the world’s first applied technology 8K Upscaling Engine, which allows you to convert an image to the equivalent format 8K – 7680 × 4320 pixels.

The TV is using technology RGBY. The traditional red, green, and blue (RGB) added to the yellow (Y), which increases the number of subpixels. This allows even more precise and clearly reproduce skin tones and display natural and golden yellows. In addition, increases color saturation and lifelike pictures.

The panel Aquos 4K Next also applied a new signal processor X8-Master Engine Pro, effectively suppresses noise and optimizes the contrast and color depending on the displayed content.

The viewing angles horizontally and vertically reach 176 degrees. TV is equipped with high-quality sound system with total capacity of 65 watts, Ethernet-controller, HDMI and USB.

Sales in Japan will start on July 10. At first, it will be released only 200 copies Aquos 4K Next; the price of the panels will be about 13 000 US dollars.
