08:43, 2919 views LG has introduced a new 4K Ultra HD-TV, which will use the new technology of quantum dots. This solution will offer a wide palette of colors and better color saturation compared to conventional LCD-panels. TV will be shown to the public already at CES 2015, which will be held in Las Vegas.
The new technology of quantum LG working points by using nanocrystals whose size ranges from 2 to 10 nm. Each point is the source color which is determined by its dimensions. Adding a new layer to the backlit LCD led to a marked improvement in the color and brightness of the image.
The new elements emit extremely bright colors that will significantly improve the image in the IPS-matrix even without changing the rest of their characteristics. The level of color reproduction shows increase by more than 30 percent, compared to existing LED and LCD-TVs.
Televisions LG 4K Ultra HD technology of quantum dots correspond to the norms of environmental requirements and do not contain cadmium or any other toxic heavy metal.

See how LG promises are true, succeed at CES 2015, from 6 to 9 January 2015. Another important issue will be how the new solution will be cheaper compared to the flagship OLED-TVs. If we draw a parallel with similar technology from TCL, we can expect three times lower prices, which should have a positive impact on the popularity of the new solution, at least to a significant reduction in price of production of OLED.
