Russian government approved a list of institutions that are moving from the subordination of the three Academies in Russian Federal agency conducting scientific organizations.

Government Order today published the official website of the Cabinet of Ministers. The list includes more than a thousand institutions, including all of the major research institutes and academic libraries, museums, archives, publishing houses and scientists. 20 of them – especially libraries and publishing houses – President of the Russian Academy of Sciences previously asked to leave the jurisdiction of the RAS.

reform envisages consolidation of the three Academies: sciences, medical sciences and agricultural sciences. Property management and all the institutions of these institutions will take the Federal Agency scientific organizations. It is this point reform provoked the most violent protests among scientists.
