laureate of the most prestigious journalism award for Denmark in 2013 was a group of journalists Danish television (DR) for a series of reports on tax deviators.
According to TASS-Telecom, television correspondents managed to expose the activities of financial advisors who help clients skillfully evade taxes by placing money offshore.
Award consists of a bronze statue of the famous Danish journalist, editor in chief of the newspaper “Politiken” Henrik Kavlinga (1858-1933 years) and 20 thousand euros ($ 3.6 million). It was founded December 18, 1944 in connection with the 40th anniversary of Danish journalists. According to the statute, the award “is awarded annually to a journalist or group of journalists who have shown initiative and talent”.
At this year’s award were nominated Kavlinga six bidders. Among them – the two editors of the newspaper “Jyllands-Posten” published a book about the roots of the financial crisis in Denmark “Other people’s money”, three journalists from the same newspaper that published a series of articles about the agent of the Danish Security and Counterintelligence (PET) Mortain storm that was introduced in the international terrorist organization.
