AmbiLux by Philips – TV plus fireworks! – Mediasat

Philips has created the most fascinating TV model: the new TV Philips AmbiLux, first presented at the exhibition IFA, not like anything of what you’ve seen before.

At Philips has for several years been experimenting with attempts to surround the TV screen additional diffused light (so-called technology AmbiLight – you know?), which should complement the color of the screen, but the model AmbiLux means going to a whole new level.

The design of this model, there are nine pico projectors mounted on the frame around the screen to send the scattered light the right colors, extending the picture on the wall.

By itself, the picture format 4K / Ultra HD is different brightness and saturation of colors, and, through the use of powerful projectors and subtleties of the frame body, the illusion of reality is incredible.

Journalists Mediasat spent some time in a dark room, sitting in front of the screen of the TV and watching a kaleidoscope of colors and scenes flickering on the wall, and can confirm that it was just unbelievable – like fireworks in your living room.

It is safe to say that the creators of the TV reached its goal, which consisted in adding the effect of immersion while watching TV.

We are a long time considered the different screens at different angles – in the literal and figurative sense, but so far our attention was more focused on what is inside. However, Philips has shown that it should not be – especially when it comes to entertainment. On the working model flying asteroids – and we saw the flashes and glimpses of breaking out of the screen and jump over the wall. This extends the internal space all of what you see, blurs the boundaries of space, making them more conditional and vague.

We are accustomed to the fact that all that is demonstrated in these exhibitions, is still quite far from the actual market entry. However, in the case of this 65-inch TV still is not the case – it will be in stores in the coming months, however, is not yet known at what price. In the new model, you will find everything that you expect from the TV high-end class, including Android TV and an incredible pixel density 4K screen.
