(id: 12) -!!> <- globescale end -> <- gs_begin_content -> Researchers say that a television in a child’s bedroom contributes to the risk of obesity and diabetes as well as heart disease.

The researchers noted that the children in the bedrooms which has a TV, twice as often in danger of being thick and almost three times more likely to develop heart disease and diabetes.

Those who watched TV more than five hours a day had twice the risk of fat accumulation in internal organs. Experts from the Biomedical Research Center worried that the children manifest deposits around the heart and liver.

369 children and adolescents participated in the study. They measured height, weight and waist circumference, and blood pressure and analysis. area location of body fat were studied using special scanners.

Almost 66% of children had a television in their rooms, and about one-third watched it for at least 5 hours a day. And it was not just teenagers, but young children.

Earlier, American scientists have found that children with overweight are more susceptible to advertising of unhealthy foods and beverages.
