TV brings the children to obesity – Dni.Ru

American Experts have found that one hour per day spent watching television before the child contributes to weight gain. This factor leads to obesity in all preschool children, regardless of race, family income, and other factors.

Researchers at the American Academy of Pediatrics in cooperation with the staff of Department of Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes, University of Virginia found that the child enough one hour a day watching TV for what would he have developed obesity, according to CNN. The experts surveyed more than 11 thousand children of preschool age. They measured their height, weight, and found out how long each baby spends in front of a blue screen. A year later, doctors repeated the study and again found the parents how many hours per day their child is watching TV.

The experiment showed that on average, each American spends in front of TV screens kindergartners 3 hours per day . At the same time, those children who watched TV for an hour a day or more, the risk of being overweight increased by 39% . Also, experts predict, the chances of these children fall ill obese between kindergarten and school increased by 86%. Scientists have not been fully able to explain what the data relate. They suggest that most people watching TV is passive. In addition, the viewing of commercials can provoke children to eat in front of a high-calorie food longer harmful.
