Youth Novosibirsk region was less than watching television – the government – Sib.fm

The study found that the most popular channel of information is still television. Only 2.4% of respondents do not have a TV at home. However, over the last year the proportion of people who do not watch television, grew by 1.5%, most notably – in Novosibirsk (from 1 to 3%). Among people aged 18-34 years, the proportion of residents is 6.5%. The people of this age make up a quarter of all respondents.

There has been a number of developments related to the use of different types of television. Firstly, Novosibirsk cable television gradually replaced by the Internet-TV. The share of first decreased by 13%, while the share of the second – rose 7%.

Among the urban population in the districts also reduced the number of users of satellite TV – from 29% to 23%, but to a lesser extent by the Internet -TV and more at the expense of cable TV. Residents of villages still use individual antennas or acquires satellite TV packages.
