ATHENS, July 19 – RIA Novosti, Gennady Melnik. The Greek parliament passed a law on the new public television NERIT, which should replace the closed June 11 Greek state radio and television (ERT). The vote on the request of the opposition was a roll call.

Of the 260 deputies present voted in favor of the law 155 people, against – 104, one abstention. For decision-making in the 300-seat parliament Greece needs 151 votes.

“For” vote MPs from the ruling coalition parties – the “New Democracy” and PASOK, and one independent member. One of the deputies of the “New Democracy” has voted against one of the articles of the law. Members of the far-right party “Golden Dawn” did not participate in the vote.

Discussion of the bill passed in bitter disputes with the representatives of the opposition and the government coalition. Deputy Minister of Public Service Broadcasting Pantelis Kapsis said that on Monday will be published notice of the temporary recruitment of two thousand employees in NERIT.
