Survey: TV remains the main source of news for Russians – Official web-site of radio Vesti FM

This is indicated by the results of a survey conducted by the Institute of Modern Media. 70% of large and medium Russian cities watch the news on television on a daily basis. Muscovites watching the news on television as often as people in other cities. Every fifth respondent finds time to watch the news 1-2 times a week. Another 8% of respondents watch the news at least once a week. According to the survey, do not watch the news 4% of Russians in Moscow – 6%.

The share of news viewers highest among the older generation: 88% of people over 60 years of watching the news on television on a daily basis. At an average age of 60-70%. Among respondents 18-25 years of watching the news every day, 43%, and one in four finds time for news at least once a week, transmits radio “Vesti FM”.

One-third of respondents follow the news out. 15% of respondents say they watch the news at work. The same number of respondents watching their guest. In the workplace, following the news that part of the audience, which is called “premium” – managers, employees. Of these, one in four watches the news at work during the day.
