TV remains the main – Russian newspaper

Despite all the talk about the expansion of the Internet, television remains the main source of news – 70% of large and medium Russian cities watch the news on television on a daily basis. This is indicated by the results of a survey conducted by the Institute of Modern Media.

Watching the news on television every day, 70% of respondents in medium and large Russian cities. And Muscovites do not differ from other Russians – they watch the news as often as people in other regions. The survey also found that men and women are equally interested in the news and watching the amount of subsequent events – the same way.

A But for intelligence watch television news is not all. Every fifth respondent finds time to watch the news 1-2 times a week – so meet the 18% of respondents. Another 8% of respondents watch the news from time to time – at least once a week.

And watching the news with relatives or friends is specific for medium-sized cities – Muscovites who watch the news at a party, half. For 5% of Russians view the news – it is a way to spend time on the road.
