Stylish look musicians, signature sound and well thought-out drama – that featured live performances of “TV” from many, many colleagues. This potential just had to somehow use abroad, and “TV” are among the first went abroad on tour. Is considered to be pioneers “Gorky Park”, but “Va-Bank” and the group of Michael Borzykina still hacked “window to Europe” a little earlier.
«Live in Amsterdam” in 1988 gives a comprehensive picture of this period . The show at the club «Melk Weg» was probably not the best: the program does not differ diversity and is a mix of songs from two of the most politicized album “TV”, “Fatherland illusions” and “alienation.” Warmed room only for the final, for which he receives from Borzykina nice bonus – a cover of “Beatles» «Revolution». In turn, the frontman feels quite confident, forgetting, for example, the word in the important area “Pope-fascist”. But the recording quality is really impressive and probably only worth it to make public the artifact.
Much more interesting – in all respects – released DVD-application to this publication. Borzykin not only remembers something from the first album, “TV”, “Procession of fish” (“I am not guilty,” and “Comrade Sukhov,” by the way, indicated in the set list on the box by mistake instead of the more usual “fish rots from the head” ), as well as future programs (“When you die,” “Random”). Comments vocalist for the songs, too, more detailed than in the “Concert in Amsterdam.” So, before “Once you die,” Borzykin in English explains that is – “environmental” song. From the hall, by the way, is often heard shouts in Russian, it is not surprising that Borzykin here obviously more comfortable than in Amsterdam.
A few distracting from the concept of the second edition hosted on the DVD-bonus concert – the legendary performance of “TV” VI on the Leningrad rock festival in 1988. Before beginning set leading Semenov announce the program of performance, that our times seems a luxury. But Borzykin still stands out from the given framework and provides for an encore even unplanned “fed up.” Passions, here, of course, not as an example more tangible than in overseas performances, and under “Your dad – fascist” on the scene trying unsuccessfully to break through the most rabid fan.
