Currently, the security of domestic IoT-devices is poor as a flaw in them is not difficult. The most important thing – a chance to eliminate vulnerabilities found virtually nonexistent. This is for two main reasons. Firstly, electronics manufacturers are in no hurry to “patch” found “holes” in the security of their products. This is due to the fact that the lifetime of the devices on the market today is very small (usually less than one year), and the producers do not want to spend resources to support the already released devices. The second reason – the users themselves electronics do not know that their TV / fridge / router may be vulnerable. Thus, when the manufacturer still produces a firmware update, users simply do not install.
