– Well, it was a distant 92nd year … By and large, became a journalist because the main thrill in life for me – human communication. – And that journalistic career unfolded rapidly: soon the local PEN called you the best journalist of Belarus, in a year you – ORT correspondent, the current first. – News from the left in 2000, and in 2008 – and the First Channel. In the middle of the zero I had a serious ideological crisis. I then filmed documentaries, doing investigative journalism … Space around gradually tapered, tapered, I retreated back down … and at some point I realized that back any longer. I hated myself, I hated every day spent at work – lived in dire disharmony. Deciding that it is impossible to live on so cringe and adapt – left the television and began to write the book. One of them – the textbook “TV. Between illusion and truth of life “- including written and to understand myself, my it – not mine, if not mistaken, changing banking to journalism. The book consists of 13 lectures and 25 interviews with professionals, for example, how to make a report, tell Kondratiev and the Brewers about sports kommentatorstve – Utkin and Gusev, etc.

– There is a competition – there is development: in Kiev five news channels round the clock, seven business channels … And even created an analogue Public Television. And I understand what works today, though you on the most important channel – it no longer has any value. With the development of the Internet for me is gone fortress attachment to television.

I live in two cities. My Kiev teleproject unexpectedly closed because channel TVi captured raiders. This is a feature of modern Ukraine – full wrestler in terms of laws, regulations and procedures: might makes right.

Come representatives of the party in power – this is irresponsible, because they know that their tongue no one can catch and say anything.

I always bring a notepad, a voice recorder, a camera phone: attended the event – plus tweet wrote an article, posted photos to Facebook, posted a video on YouTube. – Your version – why OTP was met almost with hostility?

– We are in a psychological trap: the opposition believes that the OTP was created as an imitation of democracy, such as – power play, as government forces say yes and nothing to play, we need to figure these experiments with freedom of speech, which is dangerous by definition . It turns out that the OTP – among strangers and stranger among his own. Recently, reporters seem to be finally considered us and become kinder.

I scared emotionally tired of these interviews in the colonies. And you also take the responsibility: people trusted you, hoping for you, and you can not do anything to him to promise – the transfer may only apply to the Commission for Pardons. Compared with Khodorkovsky my three month prison – it came and went, but they left a scar in my heart that I believe – any opportunity to help people in this situation should be used.

– The ultimate treat for the project – why is it so quickly faded from the screen?

– Russian land continues to bring forth talents, the only problem is that the negative environment does not allow these talents to develop and live a long time. For example, the average productive period of existence of good reporter now – from three to five years.

– And what Boris Sobolev, so how many years does a terrific investigative reporting on “Russia»?

– The exception that proves the rule. That you – television critic, ie are in the topic – can name five brightest reporters from NTV? From the First? With RTR? – Want a free press in an unfree society?

– I am absolutely convinced that the press in Russia should not just be free and otvyaznoy. Kill our press so-called information services contracts when the mayor’s office, the Governor, Office of Internal Affairs, etc. conclude with newspapers and TV channels this contract – in fact a bribe: they give money – these are praising. I believe government structures should be prohibited to place money for PR materials in the media. If you do not write about, then either you are running bad, or your work is not interesting.

– you always been interested in politics. Today, too?

– In politics, there are very few individuals – and a lot of obscure characters, which in a normal situation in a normal society, and not admitted to close to the State Duma and government organizations.
