Moscow, January 21 – Moscow AIF. CEO Russian Public Television (OTP) Anatoly Lysenko said that due to financial difficulties the channel in the next two months, the staff of editors will be halved.
«we have a lot of plans, but they all rest on one thing: the financial situation today is that somewhere within two months we have to reduce by half the company” – quoted by Interfax Lysenko.
He noted that a significant part of the state TV channel composed of staff of technical specialties, which are not subject to reductions, so layoffs will be made at the expense of the creative component.
According to Lysenko, to build on the federal channel the money that was allocated, anecdotal.
Financial difficulties have arisen OTP almost immediately after the broadcast in May 2013. Last summer, Lysenko said that the budget channel almost dried up, and solutions to this problem yet. In November 2013, the State Duma refused to channel allocation of additional 300 million rubles from the budget.
