By design model Sony X8505 we liked: everything strictly, but cute. Pay attention to the metal edging and covering the body – looks premium that befits the status of 4K-TV.
Continuing testing Sony X8505C, we evaluated the quality of the image. TV took a brisk start with a factor Contrast 2800: 1. A good result, the image looks deeper, rather than “flat».
The color rendition is very good, if we evaluate the factory mode «Cinema pro», simulating a professional setting. Although why “simulates”? We did not have particularly twist settings when calibrating your TV – he was so close to the reference color reproduction!
The image processing processor X1 has proved best. We tested the TV with all that was at hand: a terrestrial television DVB-T2, with DVD and Blu-Ray, with game consoles.
With any source you can count on the best results, but the 4K-TV is better to “feed” at least HD.
Processing MotionFlow coped with a dynamic image showing good results in the tests. The color palette of the TV if you want to, can cover 90% of the standard DCI-P3. Finally, the TV good sound system gives a clear dialogue and a nice stereo with a wide stage.
In summary, Sony X8505C was quite balanced 4K-TV. Obvious blunders avoided, while maintaining the traditional strengths of Sony – quality picture and sound.
Finish is near, but we continue to study the television Sony with Android TV and undertake the following model – Sony W805C. Look for details in the timeline, and share with friends!
