Chinese authorities have allowed satellite TV channels to buy the rights to show only one foreign programs a year, Kommersant writes, referring to the newspaper Shanghai Securities Journal.

As reported in January of last year, the Chinese government decided to reduce by two thirds the number of entertainment programs on 34 channels of the country, according to local media on Wednesday. In late 2011, such programs on Chinese television were 126, whereas now there are only 38.
