Tomenko: Ukrainian radio and regional television endangered - proIT - the world of IT technology

Chairman of the Committee on Freedom of Expression and Information Mykola Tomenko sure that the Ukrainian government planned to “destroy the Ukrainian radio and regional television” in 2014. He announced on his official website, the correspondent «proIT».

Tomenko made on the basis of the budget of Ukraine for 2014, in which there is no article of payment BRT Concern, “Ukrtelecom” and provider of digital multiplexes LLC “Zeonbud” by broadcasting public service broadcasters. According to information provided by the State Committee for Television and Radio, talking about the amount of 171 million hryvnia. This does not include accounts payable of about 60 million hryvnia, which the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting concluded this year.

Mykola Tomenko believes that such gaps in the draft budget can lead to disastrous consequences for the information security of the state, because from the air will be turned off transmission of the National Television Company, the National Radio and regional public broadcasters.

«Unfortunately, this year we have already had a precedent, when due to lack of budget funding were off all three programs of the National Radio and the Government had to urgently solve the problem” – said the Chairman of the Committee on Freedom of expression and information.

Therefore Mykola Tomenko appealed to the Prime Minister demanding that funding broadcast radio and regional television in the state budget in 2014.
