“They decided to create NERIT, but forgot something. Greek government began to act too late and did not take care to take a domain name for the company,” – writes in a commentary agency Bloomberg.
address nerit.gr page opens with the words: “This is not just ERT. This is a democracy,” and closed by the authorities with the broadcast channel and the message: “nerit.gr is not available, try pitsaria-pou-eskise.gr”. Greek government on June 11 announced the closure of the public television “due to the opaque financial performance and extravagance.” In its place, the government is going to create a public organization – New Greek radio, Internet and television (NERIT). Closure of ERT led to protests in the community and opposed by almost all parties except the far-right “Golden Dawn”.
